On February 19, 2020, MS International Law founder Melanie Schärer kicked off the WISLaw Talk held at the FIFPro headquarters in Amsterdam after a warm welcome by FIFPro’s new General Secretary Jonas Baer-Hoffmann.

Together with other sports law experts and WISLaw members, Melanie discussed the highlights of women football in 2019, as well as the intricate subject of pregnancy and maternity in football.

All participants shared valuable insights and passionately debated about a topic that affects many women who play football. FIFPro’s contribution was particularly relevant, as they have launched the FIFPro Parental Policy Guide, which is being put to the test in a pilot project.
